HELLO, NASHVILLE!
On Saturday, September 6, 2008, take part in The Great Prostate Cancer Challenge 5k Run/1 Mile Fun Walk in Nashville. During the Inaugural Run/Walk held in Baltimore in 2007, over 1,200 participants raised upwards of $125,000 for prostate cancer research. The Prostate Cancer Challenge of 2008 is being brought to Nashville! Proceeds will benefit the American Urological Association Foundation, and will support prostate cancer research, screenings and awareness programs in our local community.

Free Prostate Screenings*
You may be eligible for a free prostate cancer screening performed by a Urology Associates physician. Vouchers will be distributed.

*Eligible men must be age 50-80, or age 40 or older if African American, or have a first-degree relative diagnosed with prostate cancer, and have not had a screening in the last 12 months.

The Course and Awards
The course begins and runs through Centennial Park in Nashville. Awards will be given to the top male and female runners overall, the top male and female runners in various age groups, the top fundraising team, and the largest team.

Try the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System
The da Vinci provides the latest, state-of-the-art surgical treatment for prostate cancer confined to the prostate gland. A da Vinci robot will be on display. Sit down at the console and use the panel to move the robot’s surgical arms just like the surgeon would.

Bring the Whole Family
This is a great activity for the entire family. All ages are encouraged to participate.
