Based on the overwhelming success of our 2007 and 2008 events, the 5K Run/1 Mile Walk to benefit prostate cancer research is back! Last year we had over 5,000 participants and raised over $700,000. Please join us in helping to ensure that The Great Prostate Cancer Challenge of 2009 is even more successful than ever!

Sadly, approximately 218,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year, one new case every 2.5 minutes; and more than 27,000 will die from the disease. We can help reverse these numbers. Please visit a city webpage near you to learn how you can make a difference for this great cause.

Our name conveys what we stand for—zero tolerance for prostate cancer.

At ZERO—The Project to End Prostate Cancer, we commit ourselves not only to reduce prostate cancer or alleviate the pain from the disease but to end it. We see a future where all men who have been diagnosed with prostate concern will be cured or manage their illness with good quality of life, with the support they need to minimize physical and emotional suffering and to copy effectively throughout their cancer journeys.

To accomplish our goal, we provide comprehensive treatment information to patients, education to those at risk and we conduct thousands of screenings than ever before. We fund research in the pursuit of a better test for the disease.
